Data Analyst
We are seeking a talented and analytical Data Analyst to join our Ad Operations team. In this role, you will leverage your data expertise to support campaign performance tracking, provide actionable insights, and help optimize advertising strategies for our clients. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical background, attention to detail, and an understanding of digital advertising metrics. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a cross-functional team of ad operations, product, engineering, sales, and client service professionals to drive performance and innovation within the retail media landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data to evaluate campaign performance, identifying key metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, ROAS, etc.
- Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to the Ad Operations team to help optimize live campaigns and maximize ROI for clients.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across campaigns, platforms, and client accounts.
- Generate and distribute regular performance reports for clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct rigorous data validation checks to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of performance data.
- Support the team in identifying, investigating, and resolving data discrepancies or anomalies in a timely manner.
- Work with Ad Operations to optimize targeting, bidding, and creative strategies based on performance data.
- Develop predictive models and data insights to forecast performance and identify potential areas for improvement in campaign execution.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Account Management, engineering, and Product teams to align on client goals and ensure consistency in data reporting and analysis.
- Act as a data liaison to address ad-hoc data requests and support client presentations with clear, insightful data narratives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline data processes, automate reporting, and reduce manual work using data tools and techniques.
- Work with the Engineering team to support the development of new reporting features that align with Vantage’s goals of enhancing platform functionality and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in data analysis and ad operations to drive innovation within the team.
- Proactively share insights and recommendations to continually improve the team’s data-driven approach to campaign management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within an ad tech, digital marketing, or retail media environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and Excel.
- Familiarity with digital advertising metrics and platforms, including knowledge of tracking, attribution, and performance analysis.
- Experience with Google Analytics, DCM, or similar advertising platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Python is a bonus but not required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented: Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data-related issues.
