Director of Advertising Excellence, Performance, and Optimization

Our Customer Success Team is at the Heart of our organization and the Director of Advertising Excellence, Performance and Optimization will be responsible for overseeing the planning, building, launch, performance, and optimization of all the retail advertising campaigns deployed through the Vantage One platform.

This individual will run the day-to-day operations of campaign management and optimization for offsite, onsite/in-app, and in-store/offline campaigns, ensuring the highest level of performance. The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker with deep working knowledge of digital advertising with the ability to flex between hand-on-keyboard work to process and strategy development.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee the team that manages all campaigns running through the Vantage One Platform (onsite / offsite, instore, display, video, social, mobile, ctv, and programmatic).
  • Mentor, manage, and increase efficiencies across the team. Introduce new processes or technology that can improve operations, prevent errors
  • Surface overarching learnings to strengthen/enhance our operations. Develop best practices, architect operational workflows & playbooks for campaign activation and execution.
  • Serve as our expert in troubleshooting campaign issues. Ensure campaigns are meeting their goals by overseeing campaign pacing and performance and helping to automate optimization.
  • Collaborate with account management, product, and development teams to deliver on key client needs.Keep up-to-date with industry changes, case studies and regulatory impacts.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional at building relationships – a creative problem solver, a customer service expert, a great team player with a passion and/or skill for training and development, as the role involves both doing your work and supporting others on the team in their pursuit of excellence.
  • 5+ years digital ad operations, with a strong track record of successful retail campaign management including Meta, Google, and Pinterest.
  • 5 + years’ experience reporting on advertising and using data sets for deeper analysis and translation into meaningful presentation of results. Detail oriented; possessing critical thinking and absolutely stellar problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • 3+ years management experience, demonstrated professional maturity with strong interpersonal skills in interacting with internal/external senior leaders.
  • Fluency in the language of digital media and online measurement: impressions, CTR, CPMs, , uniques, pageviews, visits, referrers, viewability, etc.
  • Ability to thrive and calmly lead in a fast-paced environment. Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, able to write clearly, speak professionally, and teach complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a way that engenders trust and helps the ideas stick.
