Head of Strategic Retail Partnerships
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and consultative commercial leader to drive the growth and development of Vantage’s differentiated retail media platform. This role is pivotal in our organization, offering a high-growth opportunity for a highly motivated US-based individual to become an integral part of our leadership team.
Our business is going through a transformation – from a high-growth startup playing a role in the retail media space, to a platform that powers retail media businesses end-to-end. As such, we need a strategic sales leader to continue to build on that momentum.
This role will not be easy – we are proposing a necessary but fundamental shift in the market – this new leader will need to be both creative and scrapy, while maintaining executive presence.
Responsibilities Include:
- Strategic Pipeline Development: Design and customize a robust sales pipeline to target potential customers from our extensive database of retailers and brands
- Innovative Outreach: Research and implement innovative ways to connect with leads – recognizing that the market is oversaturated with solutions in retail media
- Client Engagement: Drive discussions and network deeply into organizations to find the right proponents and buyers
- Own the Outcomes: Drive initiatives to close with a strong understanding of prospect needs
- Value Proposition Mastery: Deeply understand and effectively communicate the Vantage value proposition, tailoring sales pitches to attract and convert qualified prospects
- Solution Partnering: Collaborate with clients to understand their organizational needs, offering solutions that deliver significant value to their business
- Market Feedback: Provide continuous market feedback, refining our positioning and outbound strategies to stay ahead of the competition
- Reporting and Insights: Regularly report on challenges, successes, and progress against the sales plan. Provide bi-weekly insights into prospects’ technology needs and feature requests
Required Skills:
- Exceptional Communication: Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Retail Marketing Tech Expertise: Experience working with and selling retail marketing technology solutions in the retail media or adjacent space
- High-Performance Drive: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding performance goals
- Competitive Edge: A highly developed competitive nature, strong self-motivation, and the ability to handle objections effectively
